  The Creative Use of ICT at Key Stage 3: Portraiture Project

 

In Key Stage Three, pupils have the opportunity to build on the knowledge, understanding and skills gained in Key Stage Two. The right level of challenge is important to pupils' engagement, enjoyment, progression and achievement.

Pupils are taught for one lesson a week in mixed ability groups.

They follow a programme of study laid down in the National Curriculum and are set termly projects based on the grammar of art and design namely line, tone, texture and colour. They are formally assessed twice a year and awarded a Teacher Assesed Level at the end of the Key Stage.
