Art trip to London
Posted on: Thursday 07th November 2013
Pupils from Years 7 – 10 recently enjoyed a two day Art & Design Visit to London. Pupils had the opportunity to visit a UNESCO World Heritage Site at The Royal Botanic Gardens in Kew and produced a number of superb studies of tropical plants and the artwork of Marianne North and Tom Hare during their time in the gardens. The pupils then experienced a vibrant and imaginative performance of ‘Wicked’, which they greatly enjoyed. On the second day of the visit, the pupils visited both Tate Modern and Tate Britain in order to investigate a diverse range of other artists’ work and produce studies that will inform their future projects.
