Cashless School System

The school canteen provides freshly cooked and nourishing meals which offer choice and include vegetarian options. Alternatively, pupils may bring their own packed lunch. Drinking water is freely available and vending machines are available for pupils to use.

All transactions are performed via a cashless till system. Pupils are provided with a small key fob, which is easily attached to their keys and stored, and they use this to purchase items at breaktime and for lunch. All transactions are stored on the system for later analysis or eating trends and patterns.

Parents can charge the fobs of pupils by delivering an envelope with cash to the main reception. If this money is delivered to reception prior to 8.30am then this amount will be available to the pupil that same day.

Pupils can also add money by using the coin machine situated by the dining hall, however this should not be used in preference to the previous method as a queue forms very quickly during the pupils' break times.

If fobs are lost or misplaced then then the pupil should contact the office secretary in the key stage 3 office.
