6th Form
In years 12 and 13 the department offer AS/AL Product Design (WJEC specification). This is an exciting course designed for those intending to directly follow sixth form with a higher education course or career in Design and Technology related field. It is also a very suitable course for those with other interests and aspirations as they can benefit from the many transferable skills inherent in the study of Design and Technology.
The specification provides pupils with the opportunity to fully immerse themselves in a design problem of their choosing. Whilst following the design process they can take inspiration from any source, use a range of materials, and manufacture a fully developed outcome.
