Sixth Form
A/S Economics is offered to students as either a new subject or as a chance to develop their existing knowledge. The specification demands a thorough grounding in the basics of micro and macro theory plus international trade. Assessment is via external examinations only, with short answer questions, data response and essays all required.
A2 Economics features the same modes of assessment and further study of macro issues, trade and globalisation, development theory and the conventional theory of the firm.
The Goverment and Politics course is examined by AQA and Economics by WJEC.
