Engineering in Education Scheme Awards

Over the last seven months eight members of year twelve have been participating in this years Engineering in Education Scheme. The two teams were linked with RWEn Power and were given ‘real-life’ engineering problems currently being faced at Aberthaw power station. Both teams presented their final solutions at Celtic Manor on April 7th to a number of chartered engineers resulting in Team ‘B’ being nominated for ‘Best Teamwork’ and ‘Best Overall Performance’ for their fully automated chemical dosing system.
