On Thursday April 14th 2011 the Geography department took over 100 Year 8 pupils to Bristol Zoo. The aim of the visit was to enhance their understanding of the importance of tropical rainforests around the world; examining issues surrounding destruction and conservation. Pupils were given an hour talk from the Zoo's rainforest specialists and they met a large array of rainforest creatures - testing the pupil’s nerves! No pupils were eaten by any animals and none detained as exhibits for future visitors...A successful and enjoyable day was had by all.Geography Visit to Bristol Zoo.
