Geography Visit to Iceland 2014
Posted on: Monday 03rd November 2014
During the October half term 50 pupils and 5 staff members from the Geography department travelled to Iceland. The Geographers visited various sites of Geographical interest, including Skogafoss waterfall, Strokkur Geysir, Thingvellir National Park, Seltún geothermal area and Hveragerdi geothermal park.
Highlights of the visit included a swim in the Blue Lagoon and a walk on the magnificent Solheimajokull glacier. A fantastic time was had by all and we even managed to cram in a few snowball fights!
