This course is offered at post-16 only. Students will opt for this course during the Year 11 Options process.
A/S offers students a grounding in voting behaviour, electoral systems and analysis of the role of Parliament and its component parts.
A2 features detailed study of the 'Politics of the USA' and 'Perspectives on Modern Politics' - the latter includes the impact of devolutuon, globalisation, declining formal participation. At A/S examinations are based on response to data. At A2 a combination of paragraph - based and essay questions is used.
