Margam Park Visit
Posted on: Friday 09th November 2018
On Wednesday 7th November, Year 7 pupils attended Margam Park Discovery Centre to carry out a river study, measuring the width, depth and velocity of the Nant Phillip river. Despite the adverse weather conditions, the pupils were a credit to the school! Two sites were visited along the course of the river, one towards the source and the other nearer the mouth. The pupils applied their numeracy skills to collect and calculate the data, comparing the sites to see how the river changes along its course. Back in the dry of the centre, the pupils spent time evaluating their data and reaching conclusions on the accuracy of their predictions at the start of the day.
