National Sports Week

National Sports Week

Posted on: Wednesday 13th August 2014

National Sports week took place between June 23rd– June 27th.  Year 7 pupils were encouraged to participate in as many sporting activities as they could throughout the week and write a diary of their efforts.  Lots of pupils did really well with some putting in over 20 hours of a sport a week!

The following 8 pupils did the most sport over the week and are going to Boulders in September as a prize: Lauren Selman, Megan Lages, Rhys McGowan, Rory Skinner, Sophie Anderton, Maisy Gibbs, Reuben Jones and Yola Bailey.

During National sports week, pupils had the opportunity to try taster sessions in a number of sports that were linked to the Commonwealth Games.  Coaches were brought in for lazer shooting, tennis, table tennis and tag rugby and some pupils completed a triathlon but did rowing instead of swimming.
