Annual Report of the School Governors
Dear Parents/Guardians,
The Governors invite you to The Annual Parents’ meeting on Thursday 24th November 2011 at 6.00 p.m. in the Sixth Form Study Centre. The purpose of the meeting is to give parents the opportunity to meet the Governors of the School and to consider the attached annual report.
I have pleasure forwarding the annual report of Stanwell School Governors. The report includes examination results, pupil attendance statistics, a destination of leavers form, the Additional Learning Needs policy, the behaviour and discipline policy with the school rules and a financial report summary for the year April 2010 to April 2011. Also included is the most recent (February 2010) school summary inspection report.

Welsh Trip to Glan Llyn
|
Pupils from Year 9 and Year 10 visited Glan Llyn in North Wales for a residential activity weekend. The pupils’ Welsh language skills certainly benefited from the all-Welsh environment and they took part in a range of exciting activities such as kayaking, canoeing, wall climbing, ten pin bowling, folk dancing, orienteering, raft building, a lake tour, high ropes and swimming. It was a fantastic weekend and the pupils were an absolute pleasure to supervise. |

Construction of the elaborate set is now underway! It is taking shape very quickly and looking impressive already. Staff from the Music and Drama departments are rehearsing intensively with the cast, band and crew and the posters for the production have now been designed. Many thanks again to everyone volunteering to help with publicity, backstage, set design and all the different components of this ambitious project. |
