Fundraising for Charity
![]() |
Stanwell pupils enjoyed a non-uniform day on Friday 19th November to raise money for Children In Need and Jeans for Genes. Special credit goes to the Year 7 Young Enterprise pupils who baked vast amounts of cakes and biscuits that were sold throughout break times and also organised lots of games and activities. These proved very popular with pupils and staff alike and the pupils involved are to be commended for their efforts on behalf of these very worthwhile charities.

We are very proud of George Kynaston of Year 10 who has been selected for the Welsh International Basketball Squad at Under 15 level. George first began playing basketball in Year 7 through the school team and has also benefited from the 5x60 initiative that has been so successful at Stanwell. He is a dedicated athlete who trains 4 nights a week and on weekends and he also volunteers to help coach the Year 7 Stanwell team. George plays for the Penarth, Vale and UWIC teams and his biggest challenge this year will be the FIBA European Championships next in 2012. |
