Remembrance Day Project

Stanwell pupils were invited to participate in a project with All Saints church to commemorate the individuals on their roll of honour. Thanks to the work of Jane McLaughlin from All Saints, a wreath was put on the door of the houses from which 32 men left for war never to come home again. The students learned a little about each individual, held a brief moment of silence and a prayer was read by the local vicar and then the students placed the wreaths on their doors.
Some of the individuals on the All Saints Roll of Honour were also pupils at Stanwell (then Penarth County School). It was a very moving experience for all involved.
