Zoe Mules of Year 7 was selected to travel to South Africa with the Only Kids Aloud choir to perform in Bryn Terfel’s concert with the Cape Town opera to celebrate 20 years of democracy. The choir, chosen from the very best young singers from all over Wales, sang a special song composed for the occasion by Paul Mealor, who has also composed songs for the Royal family. Zoe and her friends also visited the beach in Cape Town and saw penguins and participated in a visit to Robben Island where Nelson Mandela was imprisoned for many years. This was an amazing experience for Zoe and she is looking forward to furthering her singing career with a performance in the National Eisteddfod.
