Stanwell Staff Sponsored Cycle Update
Posted on: Thursday 06th November 2014
We are pleased to state that we have raised £900 so far for this great cause and we are confident we will raise an even higher amount by the end of Monday. Numerous people deserve praise for their generosity – either through making a donation, purchasing raffle tickets or providing a prize for Monday’s raffle.
Parents are also welcome to make a contribution online as people can donate via Just Giving’s website. They would need to search for charity cycle TCT 8th Nov 2014.
The Stanwell School staff will be travelling on a cycle route will take them from the Stanwell School gates to Ynysangharad Park in Pontypridd followed by a return to the school. The journey begins at 9am and will utilise the Taff Trail. Participating staff: Mr Baldwin, Mr Doyle, Mr Gifford, Mr Griffiths, Mrs Hunter, Miss Jenkins, Mrs Laity, Mr Mansfield, Mr McPherson, Miss Menhenitt, Mr Penny, Mr Pepper and Mrs Symonds.
The Teenage Cancer Trust relies on donations to enable them to continue with their vital work and to continue to act as a support network for the young people affected. The volunteers are hoping that Stanwell pupils and parents will continue to contribute to this fund-raising event. People can make a donation at the Main Reception or via justgiving.com. The raffle is taking place on Monday 10th November and pupils and parents can purchase raffle tickets at reception until Monday 12 noon – 50p per ticket or £2 for a page of 5. Prize-winners will be contacted.
There will of course be regular updates on the school twitter page, and users of Twitter may be interested in following @StanwellCycle.
Thanks once again for your generosity and support for this great cause.
