Amber Owen, Year 12, swam for Nofio Sir Gar at the Welsh Summer Nationals in August at Swansea National Pool and she won 5 golds in the 50m free, 100m free, 50m breast, 100m breast and 200m breast and a bronze in the 200 IM. Her favourite race was 100m freestyle where she was seeded 11th, went into the final in 3rd place and during the last 15m overtook two swimmers ahead of her with a time of 60 seconds. Her first race was also momentous when she won 200m breast by 8 seconds.

Amber has joined City of Cardiff Swimming Club to increase her hours in the pool. She has been recently asked to represent Wales (West) in the intercounties competition in October 2O16.
