The Big Pedal 2014

Posted on: Thursday 13th March 2014

Don’t forget to visit reception when you arrive to register for the ‘Big Pedal’.

Once again Stanwell pupils are taking part in The Big Pedal from Monday 3rd March until Friday 14th March to raise awareness of the importance of a healthy lifestyle. This is a national initiative run by the charity Sustrans and pupils have been encouraged to cycle, scooter or even skateboard to school. We were delighted to receive a visit from Councillor Neil Thomas, Town Mayor of Penarth who added his support for pupils choosing an active and healthy route to school.

Councillor Thomas is pictured above with keen cyclists Osian Lambert-Jones, Nimrod Abramovich and Carys David, along with Miss Squire our Healthy Schools co-ordinator.
