Posted on: Wednesday 13th August 2014

Robert Jones of Year 9, Guillaume Bigsby of Year 8 and Kayleigh Fisherof Year 7 were nominated for the Eryl Walsh Award, which is an award for pupils who show enthusiasm and commitment to learning Welsh as a second language.

The event took place on Wednesday July 9th in the Urdd centre which is situated in the Millennium Centre in Cardiff Bay. They participated in workshops and had an informal chat in Welsh with the judges. They chatted for a few minutes about a topic of their choice.

They then took part in the award ceremony in the evening. The judge could not praise our pupils enough, not only on their standard of Welsh but on their impeccable behaviour and wonderful personalities. They have been an absolute credit to the school. Llongyfarchiadau!
