Year 10 and 11 Geographers go to Italy

Posted on: Friday 15th November 2013

During the November half term 49 pupils and 5 staff from the Geography department visited Italy.

The visit included various sites of geographical interest in and around the Bay of Naples. The students had the opportunity to explore several locations including; a visit to the Island of Capri, Sorrento, Pompeii, Vesuvius National Park, Solfatara, Herculaneum and many more.

Highlights of the visit were the boat trip around the Island of Capri looking at coastal formations and an underground visit to the caverns under Naples.

A fantastic time was had by all, but as a group we do feel that we have had enough of pasta and pizza for a short while!
