A tough group for year 7 but they manage to win 1 of 3 group games to qualify for the bowl knockouts! Some great determination shown in the 2 narrow losses. Next game 3.40pm. pic.twitter.com/TEFYdoLEHH— Stanwell School PE () April 19, 2024

Many of our boys enjoyed their final basketball session after school today with Jack & Nia, our fabulous Yr 13 coaches. They have made fantastic progress under their teaching. They’ve trained hard, improved their fitness, had fun and enjoyed each other’s company since Sept 🏀 pic.twitter.com/2sLXd2m5tv— Stanwell_School () April 17, 2024

Additional Learning Needs (ALN)

Stanwell respects that everyone has individual needs, we fully understand and are committed to supporting those who may require extra care and attention as we know many pupils, at some time in their life may need short or long-term support in order for them to make progress to overcome barriers to learning. We believe the student should be at the centre of everything we do and our aim is to deliver a fully inclusive education provision for all of our learners.

The Additional Learning Needs and Education Tribunal (Wales) Act 2018 makes provision for a new statutory framework for supporting children and young people with additional learning needs (ALN) from the age of 0-25. The ALN system aims to transform the expectations, experiences and outcomes for children and young people with ALN placing learners’ views at the heart of the process. From September 2021, this system began to come into force with a three-year phased implementation period. A series of links and documents below provide additional information on the Act.

If you'd like to discuss anything relating to Additional Learning Needs at Stanwell, please contact Mr J John (jjohn@stanwell.org), or alternatively, you can make a direct ALN referral using the 'ALN Parental Referral' button.
