On Thursday we held our version of a bushtucker tasting session which was open to all pupils and staff to sample if they so wished. The aim was to highlight alternative protein sources and to show the rich diversity and creativity that some eastern cultures adopt so they can sustain a healthy and balanced diet.
As anticipated it generated a huge amount of interest with pupils very keen to try the offerings and ask some very important, topical and environmentally rooted questions. Rest assured that we were not promoting our new menu and weaver ants will not be making their way into our bolognese anytime soon!
