On joining Stanwell School, all pupils will be issued with a fob to buy food and drink. Each fob has a unique number that is personal to the pupil and needs to have money credited to it before it can be used. The fob can be topped up via the internet using Parent Pay.
The fob will be issued on the first day of term for Year 7 pupils.
It is the pupil’s responsibility to ensure there is enough credit on the fob to make purchases. They can find out how much is left in their account at any of the ID readers. Current balances can also be viewed from home via your ParentPay account. If a pupil does not have enough money in their account to buy what they want, they can request an IOU from the Fob office which will need to be repaid in full the following day. Also, if a pupil forgets their fob, they can request a forgotten fob slip from the Fob office.
If your child is eligible to receive free school meals, the school will be notified by the local authority and their fob will automatically be topped up with the relevant daily allowance. If this daily allowance is not spent in full it will not transfer to the next day. Pupils in receipt of free school meals can also top up their fobs with extra credit via ParentPay if they wish. The free meal allowance will be used in full before any additional credit that may have been added is used.
Pupils need to notify the Fob office staff if they have lost or broken their fob. They will need to pay £1 for a replacement. This can be done either via ParentPay or by deducting £1 for the account balance. Should a fob be lost or broken then the money in the pupils account will be available on the replacement fob. No “money” is held on the fob itself.
For further information on ParentPay please visit their website or if you require assistance, please contact Mrs D Daly (ddaly @stanwell.org) at the school.
