Year 13 Geography Fieldwork
Posted on: Tuesday 30th September 2014
On Thursday 11th September 25 Year 13 Geographers were given the fantastic opportunity to visit the University of South Wales Atrium Campus in Cardiff. During the morning the students attended lectures on the impacts of Climatic Hazards in Uganda and Sustainable Food Resources. Both topics are part of the students’ A Level studies and the experience not only provided them with up-to-date information on contemporary geographical themes but also gave them a taster of what University lectures are all about. In the afternoon the group ventured into Cardiff City Centre for some A level fieldwork, where students collected primary data to help them investigate whether Cardiff can be considered a Clone Town.
