Careers & The World of Work

Career guidance is provided to students from Year 7 onwards throughout the Curriculum and their PSE sessions

Mr Deighton-Jones leads on careers & the world of work and is supported by careers advisor Mrs Nicola Worrall who is always on hand to offer impartial careers advice when needed. Lunch time drop in sessions are held in the Careers Office for Year 8 pupils prior to their option choices. You will also find her at our Parents' and Options Evenings for both Years 8 & 11. Careers advice for Years 12 & 13 is offered by Mrs Elinor Williams.

Stanwell also has strong links to outside organisations who impart invaluable guidance to our students throughout the year.  We host an annual themed Careers Fair in the Autumn Term ( NHS 2023) and a UCAS fair in the Summer Term for both pupils and parents/carers; as well as attending various careers fairs and virtual events.
