Governance

We are very fortunate at Stanwell to have committed governors who give freely of their time and provide support and challenge to our school with the overall aim to raise standards of wellbeing and achievement.

Stanwell is a Foundation school which is a state-funded school where the governing body has greater freedom in the running of the school. Foundation schools are funded directly by central government via the local education authority and do not charge fees to students. As with voluntary aided schools, the governing body employs the staff as well has undertaking responsibility for admissions to school.
