Stanwell Eco-Club Tree Planting

Stanwell's Eco Club are delighted to have been donated two Giant Redwood trees - 'The Stanwell Twins' - as part of Penarth Tree Forum’s Project Giant.

In this 2023 environmental legacy project Penarth Tree Forum members crowdfunded the purchase of 10 Giant Redwoods to plant across the town including a “grand avenue” of 5 trees in Alexandra Park.

We are honoured to have 'The Stanwell Twins' planted in our grounds. It is such an enriching experience for our students to help plant and care for these wonderful trees. A big thank you to Haydn from the Tree Forum and Jon from the Vale Council Parks Department who worked with Eco Club to relay the importance of planting these Giant Redwoods.
