Years 7 - 9 Examination Information

Dear Parents/Carers,
Thank you for your support this week in ensuring that pupils arrive in school by 8.30 am in full school uniform with all the necessary equipment for the school day ahead. Please find attached a letter aiming to raise awareness of the support on offer for Young Carers and asking parents/carers to let school know if any pupils are fulfilling this function. A Young Carer is defined as:
Someone under 18 who is caring unpaid, for a family member, or friend, who is mentally or physically unwell, frail, disabled or who misuses substances. They often take on practical and/or emotional caring responsibilities that would normally be expected of an adult.
On Friday 3rd May there will be a non-uniform day and a bake sale for the RNLI. This is to try and help the RNLI in Penarth raise their target of £20,000 this year as in March of this year the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) celebrated 200 years of saving lives at sea. On the day the charity turned 200, the RNLI revealed its volunteer lifeboat crews and lifeguards in south Wales have saved an incredible 2,387 lives during its two centuries of lifesaving.
Pay £1 either on parent pay or fobs. Cash will also be collected on the day in buckets!
