GCSE Results Day - August 21st 2025

After the excellent A and AS Level results of last week, it was the turn of Stanwell GCSE students to collect their grades and, once again, results day was a time of great celebration and success.
Across the cohort, 45% of all grades were A*-A and 91% were A*-C, with 83% of all Year 11 students achieving a minimum of 5 A*-C grades (including English and Maths).
There were also very many excellent individual performances. The many staff who attended school to congratulate students and help give out results and advice were delighted with the success of their pupils.
Mr Jason Ovens, Head of Year 11, said “it has been a pleasure to work with this fantastic group of students. They have shown maturity and determination to attain these impressive grades which will set them up for the next stage in their education.”
Mr Rhys MacPherson, Head of Key Stage 4, said “it's great to see that the focus on developing skills and subject knowledge shown by students and staff throughout the GCSE courses has paid off! We are delighted for our students and their families and hope they enjoy celebrating together.”
