Science Success
12 students from Years 12-13 travelled to London for the weekend to take part in the National Finals of the UK Space Design Competition. Having already beaten the competition in the Welsh region, the students were well prepared to work with others from schools all over the UK in a team of 60, with a 24-hour challenge to design a self-sufficient garden city on the Moon. Their excellent creativity, problem-solving, communication and science skills were rewarded with a win for their team and we are now waiting to hear whether anyone from the team will be selected to represent the UK at the international finals at NASA in Houston. Very well done to all the pupils involved.
