Museum of the Moon Visit
Member of Stanwell Space Agency and Girls in STEM club, representing years 7-11, visited the "Museum of the Moon" exhibition at the National Museum of Wales in Cardiff this week. We really enjoyed walking around the Moon in the gallery and seeing the far side of the Moon which we can't see from Earth. In the workshop we got to handle and measure real meteorites, look at samples under the microscope and use maps to calculate the dimensions of craters and locate them on the Moon. We also loved seeing the sample of Moon Rock brought back by the Apollo astronauts, and touching the centre of a real asteroid!
